Brenda

Brenda Ellis – Assistant Site Director
Brenda was born in Bellingham, WA on Christmas Day 1970! Her older brother, Chad is responsible for making her tough in sports because he never played easy on her...even if she cried! She has played basketball for as long as she can remember. She was the first girl to ever play basketball at was once called the "Boys Club", now the Boys & Girls Club! She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1989. She played basketball all 4 years, and her senior year her team finished with a trip the State Tournament in the Tacoma Dome. She received a scholarship to play at Skagit Valley CC in Mount Vernon, WA. Her college career ended early when she injured her back during practice. She moved back to Bellingham and attended a local college.

She started coaching basketball in 1993. She has coached 5th - 12th grade select and is currently the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Mount Baker High School in Deming, WA. She had this to say about working at Mount Baker: “Mount Baker is a great sports community and I really enjoy coaching there. We have a great coaching staff and I am looking forward to many more years with them. This will be my 5th season at Mount Baker.”

She has a wonderful husband of 14 years, Tom. They live in Custer, WA with their 2 dogs Thor and Harley. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking with their dogs, or just hanging out together.

She has attended NBC with various teams in the past and she is super excited to be working with NBC and all of the great staff.
